This has never been plugged in. BRAND NEW Open Box Altec Lansing inMotion iMT620 30-Pin Apple Speaker Ipod Dock FM Radio, This was a Christmas from 15 years ago. The internal battery can be replaced if necessary. The internal rechargeable battery was never used, but these too have a lifespan.
